1. 9.d5 We cannot commend this move, preferring Kt. to R's 4th.
2. 13.Nc3 Kt. to Kt's 5th is not so good as it would seem; the move adopted is infinitely stronger.
3. 13…c6 We should have chosen Castling in preference to this move, which leads Black into great difficulties.
4. 15.Bf4 A very pretty conception.
5. 16…O-O He had no resource save to sacrifice the Queen.
6. 18.Bxe5 All very finely played. The diagram shows the position of the pieces previous to this move.
7. 21.Rae1 Q. R. to K's sq., and wins.
