13th World Student Team Championship — Örebro 1966

1966 · Oerebro
The Soviet Union won Final A with 34/44; Czechoslovakia scored 28½ and Denmark 27½. Sweden won Final B with 21/32.

The whole championship

All 516 games are archived: 108 preliminary boards, 264 boards in Final A and 144 in Final B. The final standings and team cross-table count the two finals, with the preliminary games retained in the archive.

Original game dates and round labels are preserved. The Group 6 records give dates before the contemporary reported opening on 30 July; those dates have not been corrected.

Surviving score versions

Two legal native scores differ from the preserved reference: Krabbé–Tukmakov has 32.b4 rather than 32.h4, and Schöneberg–Gulko includes 42.Kxc4 after their common prefix. No original continuation has resolved those differences, so the native moves are retained.

The short decisive Mozes–Porrasmaa record ends after 12.exf5. Its result is corroborated by the board ledger, but the completeness of that ending is unverified.

The Soviet Union won Final A with 34/44; Czechoslovakia scored 28½ and Denmark 27½. Sweden won Final B with 21/32.

All 516 played games are archived: 108 preliminary boards, 264 Final A boards and 144 Final B boards. The table shows final-stage scores; preliminary games remain in the archive. Final A (places 1–12) and Final B (13–21) are separate sections. Denmark placed third ahead of Yugoslavia on match points 18–17 at equal 27½ board points. The 24 Group 6 Date tags precede the contemporary reported opening; original dates and local Round tags are retained. Krabbe–Tukmakov has an unverified 32nd-move variant, and Schoeneberg–Gulko has one more native ply than the historical PGN. Original legal scores are retained. The historical reference differs on Bjornsson’s first name and Lebredo’s surname spelling; native names are retained pending stronger evidence. Mozeş–Porrasmaa is recorded only through 12.exf5; its original continuation has not been verified.
