The event and its record
Hungary won the Prague leg of the Triennial Cup in 1955. Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland each entered an eight-board senior team; a Czechoslovak junior team completed the four-team double round robin at the Radiopalace. Native game dates run from 25 January to 2 February.
The junior team played outside the official Cup competition. With its matches excluded, Hungary scored nineteen board points, Czechoslovakia eighteen and Poland eleven. Czechoslovakia remained unbeaten and beat Hungary in their second meeting, but Hungary finished first on board points.
All ninety-six games are available, including the forty-eight involving the juniors. The crosstable shows totals across all four teams, with the juniors unranked: Hungary 31½, Czechoslovakia A 29, Poland 20½ and Czechoslovakia B fifteen. These full-event totals are distinct from the official three-team Cup scores.
Final standings
This table counts all ninety-six games, including matches against the noncompeting Czechoslovak junior team, which is unranked. Official Cup totals excluded those matches: Hungary 19, Czechoslovakia A 18, Poland 11.
