- 8…c6 By this move Black achieves but little. The Pawn at Q 3 becomes thereby weak, and the Q B file is opened for his opponent. He might have played 8) Kt x P. After 9) Kt x Kt, P - K B 4; 10) Kt - Kt 5 (or Kt 3 or Q 2), P - B 5, Black would have a good development.
- 16…hxg4 Black should have deferred this exchange. He seems to be unaware that he only opens the Rook's file for his opponent.
- 25.Nc4 The 'strong square' for the Knight, where it attacks the weak Pawn at Q 3.
- 27.Kg3 Threatening P - Kt 4, Q - B 2; Kt x P.
- 28…Bxf3 A desperate sacrifice, which is yet promising. After 28) P x B comes Kt x P ch; and if 28) K x B then Q - B 5.
