Photographs from Groningen 1946, Sopot 1951, Hoogovens, the Amsterdam IBM tournaments, and Ulf Andersson’s early years.
We added 187 photographs from the Nationaal Archief, 11 from Arboga kommuns fotoarkiv, and 13 from Fortepan. They include Nona Gaprindashvili arriving at Hoogovens in 1963, Wolfgang Uhlmann arriving for the 1960 zonal tournament, and Ribli, Sax and Forintos at Budapest in 1973.
Further photographs show the 1951 Przepiorka Memorial in Sopot and simultaneous displays by László Szabó, Gedeon Barcza and Lajos Portisch.
