Solve 2,680 puzzles from master games
Find the move a master played in positions from real games between 1620 and 2010, with 1,475 forced checkmates among them.
Choose Study, then Puzzles, then Random puzzle. Each puzzle opens at the moment a master found a checkmate, a winning combination or the only saving move, and asks you to find it for the side to move.
Step through the game moves that led to the position before you start. Each step has one correct move, the one played in the game, and the board answers with the game's reply. Where the loser resigned before the mate, the board plays on with the toughest defense and any move that mates just as fast counts. On the final move, any checkmate is correct.
Once you solve a puzzle, open the position on the analysis board, play through the whole game, or go straight to the next puzzle.
Your results stay with your account. A puzzle you solve on the first try leaves your rotation, and one you miss comes back until you solve it on the first try. Puzzle history shows the board of every puzzle you have played and how you did, and Reset puzzles puts every puzzle back in your rotation.
