New York club champions and Benkö in Iceland
Marshall’s 1956–57 championship and Hafnarfjörður 1957 add surviving scores and sourced final standings.
Marshall’s 1956–57 championship adds eighty-one scores from all four source labels, including Alexander Bernstein’s four retained games. Original reports confirm Sidney Bernstein’s 10½-point title ahead of Saul Wachs on ten and Louis Levy on 8½. The page gives all fourteen final totals and explains the ten scored pairings without movetext: their played or default status remains unknown, so no missing-game count is asserted. Six existing Edward Lasker games keep their identities and study links.
Hafnarfjörður 1957 adds four surviving scores and all ten published final totals. Pal Benkö won unbeaten with seven wins and two draws for 8/9; Friðrik Ólafsson and Herman Pilnik shared second on 7½. The page distinguishes this event from Reykjavík, explains the limits of the later full table and preserves the native score where a reproduced report gives a different endpoint. Further played games are known to be missing, but the whole played and missing totals remain unknown.
