The event and its record
Milorad Knežević won the Kragujevac international tournament in October 1977 without losing a game. His eight wins and six draws brought eleven points from fourteen games. Vlastimil Jansa finished half a point behind; Milan Matulović and Edmar Mednis each scored ten.
All 105 played games of the fifteen-player round robin are available. Each player faced fourteen opponents and had one unscored rest turn across the fifteen rounds. These rest turns are not games or missing scores. The results reproduce the complete published table.
The contemporary yearbook gives the event dates as 12–30 October. The retained game records run from 12 to 29 October, including one final-round game dated a day earlier than the other six. Their recorded dates and rounds are preserved.
