Wolfgang Uhlmann and Lothar Vogt shared first on 6½/9 in Leipzig’s ten-player international tournament. Uhlmann led until a penultimate-round defeat allowed Vogt, who finished unbeaten, to draw level. All forty-five played games survive in the archive and reproduce every total in the contemporary final report.
The leaders draw level
Uhlmann led for much of the tournament, according to the contemporary report in 64. His loss to Thomas Pähtz in round eight let Vogt catch him. Uhlmann finished with five wins, three draws and one defeat; Vogt scored four wins and five draws. Their second-round meeting was drawn.
Friedrich Baumbach and Günther Möhring shared third and fourth on 5½, ahead of Manfred Schöneberg on five. Gyula Kluger and František Blatný shared sixth and seventh on 4½. Pähtz scored 3½, Jordan Grigorov two and Ryszard Bernard 1½. These are the ten totals printed in the final report, all matched by the preserved games.
The complete record
The original report gives the full final field and all ten scores, including the leaders’ nine-game denominator. The forty-five legal game scores supply every pairing and all nine games for each player. Together, these establish the complete played record without counting any default or bye as a game.
The cross-table is reconstructed from those scores; the original report prints final standings rather than an opponent-by-opponent matrix. It also illustrates Kluger–Baumbach with an abbreviated score ending at 27...Rab8 and a statement that Black won. The archive preserves the longer native score unchanged.
The exact November 30–December 9 span comes from the game headers. The original final report does not independently establish those dates or the numbered edition. Original names, dates, rounds and movetext are retained.
