The event and its record
Gideon Ståhlberg won the second international tournament at Quilmes in 1945 with six points from seven games. Enrique Reinhardt, Carlos Skalička, René Letelier and Moshe Czerniak shared second place on four. Jorge Pelikán scored three, Emilio Dodero 2½ and Alfredo Esposito ½.
All twenty-eight games of the eight-player round robin are available. Their results reproduce every pairing and total in the published table. The source records only the year, so the game dates retain their unknown month and day. The separately reported La Regence tournament in Buenos Aires is a different competition.
