Eighth Rubinstein Memorial
Sixteen players contested fifteen rounds in Polanica-Zdrój. Jan Smejkal won with eight wins and seven draws, scoring 11½/15. Igor Zaitsev finished second on 10½ and Włodzimierz Schmidt third on 9½.
