The surviving record
The archive preserves 153 records: 152 substantive move scores and the round-eight Hort–Daniel Wright game only as 1.Nf3, with Hort’s 1–0 result. Its continuation is missing. A contemporary annotated Queen’s Indian version appears in Československý šach, January 1970, page 7; the precise printed score and possible opening transposition remain unresolved. The surviving move is retained as recorded, and the game should not be read as ending after one move.
Contemporary reports in Rudé právo and Sportul confirm Hort’s round-eight win over Wright. The contemporary longer version documents play beyond the single move preserved here.
