Notes by A. Albin.
- 5.Nge2 Kt to R 4 is the usual and best move in this position.
- 6.exd5 Kt x P is better.
- 8…Bg4 P to R 3 is more correct, in order not to open the file for the Black Bishop.
- 10.a3 Why not Kt to K 4?
- 17.hxg3 Kt x P, followed by Kt to K 4 and R to K Kt sq, was the only way to obtain any chances.
- 18.c4 P to K Kt 4 seems to be stronger; if Q to R 5, ch, K to Kt sq, followed eventually by B to Kt 5.
- 22.Qe3 K R to K sq, to make room for the King, and to disengage finally the Knight, was preferable.
- 23.Rac1 Why not K R to K sq?
- 24.Rfe1 Too late; White is helpless.
- 27.Qf1 Black has played the whole game in a masterly manner.
