1. 2.e5 This continuation was first adopted by Steinitz against Winawer in the Vienna Tournament, 1882. I do not think it quite sound.
2. 2…f6 The simple move P to Q 4 seems to be the best answer to the irregular second move of White.
3. 4…f5 I prefer P to K Kt 3.
4. 5.g4 An excellent move.
5. 8…Nc6 I prefer K P x P; 9. P x P, Q to B 3; 10. Q Kt to B 3, Kt to K 2, though in any case Black's position would be precarious.
6. 11.Nd2 White plays with great energy and sound judgment.
7. 13…Kd8 If Q to Kt 3, ch, then 14. K to R sq, Kt to B 3; 15. Kt to B 4, Q to B 2; 16. Kt to Kt 5, Q to B sq; 17. B x P and White will win.
8. 18…b6 P to K Kt 4 would be better in order to prevent the next move of White.
9. 21…Qe7 Suicide, but the game is beyond all remedy. If Q to K sq, then 22. Q to B 3, R to K Kt sq; 23. P x P or Q R to Q sq, and White wins easily.
